Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026
These are the rules for using Lexiform. By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or signing a contract through Lexiform, you agree to them.
1. What Lexiform is
Lexiform is an online tool, run from Accra, Ghana, for making contracts from ready-made templates, signing them electronically, sending them to the other person to sign, and getting reminders about them.
Lexiform is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Our templates and the answers from our assistant are general information. They are not a substitute for a lawyer who knows your situation. Using Lexiform does not make us your lawyer.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
- Give us correct details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what is done through your account.
3. Your contracts
- A contract made on Lexiform is an agreement between you and the other person. Lexiform is not a party to it and does not enforce it.
- You are responsible for the details you put in, for checking the contract says what you agreed, and for making sure it suits your situation.
- Once both people have signed, the contract is locked and cannot be changed. Different terms mean a new contract.
4. Signing electronically
Contracts on Lexiform are signed electronically, as Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772) allows for most agreements. We record when and how each signature was made so both people can show what was signed.
Some documents cannot be signed electronically under that Act, including sales of land or interests in land, powers of attorney, sworn statements and negotiable instruments. Do not use Lexiform for those. If you are unsure, ask a lawyer.
5. Text messages
Lexiform sends text messages for you: signing links, one-time codes and reminders. Only enter phone numbers of people who expect to hear from you about a contract.
6. What you must not do
- Use Lexiform to deceive, threaten or defraud anyone, or to send texts people have not asked for.
- Sign as someone else, or enter someone else's phone number as your own.
- Break the law, or help anyone else to.
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
We may limit, suspend or close an account that does any of these, and we may report unlawful activity.
7. Prices, payments and refunds
Lexiform is free to use while we are starting out. If we introduce paid plans or fees, we will show the price clearly before you pay, and you will never be charged without agreeing first.
Payments are handled by Paystack, a licensed payment company. Lexiform does not see or store your card or mobile money details.
If you paid for something that did not work as described, write to lexiform.inc@gmail.com within 7 days of paying and we will fix it or refund you. Refunds go back to the method you paid with.
8. The service
We work to keep Lexiform available and correct, but we provide it as it is. Texts can be delayed by phone networks, and the service may be down at times. To the extent the law allows, Lexiform is not liable for losses that come from a contract you made, from how the other person behaves, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow us to limit.
9. Closing your account
You can stop using Lexiform at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by writing to lexiform.inc@gmail.com. Signed contracts may be kept so that the other person still has their copy and its signing record. Our privacy policy explains what we keep.
10. Changes and the law that applies
We may update these terms as Lexiform grows. If a change matters, we will tell you on the site or by text before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana decide any dispute about them.
